Washer wants to walk out of the house

PineRidge - The floating center is called a snubber ring. I would replace that or look for plastic shavings near that.

It seems to be working quietly now.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's my motto.

I believe that the problem was that the oil in the gear box had stratified and the correct weight was not in the correct place. I suggest that you drain the oil out of the gear box and send it out for analysis. Better to also send a sample of the water along with it.... Even better is to also enclose a sample of the used wash water to have them compare all the results with. When the report comes back, they will properly advise you as to the brand and weight of clothes you should be wearing and washing..... or is that washing and wearing????? Also will be a recommendation as to they type, brand, and weigh of oil for the gear box. Shouldn't take more than a week to get the results, and worth waiting for just for the peace of mind of knowing that you have done the best that you can for your clothes, washing machine, and the septic system.... Junk..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Junkman I actually had the optional gearbox oil heater and mixer installed on the washer even before I purchased it. The heater keeps the gear oil at a comfortable operating temperature. Its a proven fact that cold startups produce harmful ozone contaminants within the house.

The mixer feature runs 24 hours a day for just pennies and keeps the oil homogenized within the gear box castings so that oil stratification is not possible.

I also used two 50 pound super-flux magnets and machined them so they completely surround the main water line coming from our well system. I found that it was necessary to isolate the magnetic forces proportional to the polyethylene pipe so that all external gaussing forces were completely aligned within the hydrogen oxygen mix.

As a result the water to the washer is cleaner and more contaminant free than that of an Artesian well.

We had the same trouble with our old washer. I bolted it to the wall
with some short stout springs pulling on one another. Solved the problem and we got many more years out of it before we replaced it.

I used Rotella synthetic that I drained from my TC-40D. Maybe that's part of the reason it sounded like a brush hog for a bit. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

several years ago, i bought a used washing machine that looked like new: the owners said they had to sit on the top
to keep it in the house every time it went into the spin cycle: they had bought it new at sears: i took the cover off, and couldn't find anything i thought was out of place: so i took it
to an independent repairman, he called me the next day and said it was ready: the washer had some shipping pins in it, that had tags on them, that said "remove before use"; you guessed it, the owners removed the tags from the pins; not the pins...my oldest daughter is still using that $40 washer, total cost of purchase and "repair"
