Does your tractor have a fuel/water separator on it? Or is it just the filter? In my case, I can look through the side glass on my fuel/water separator and visually see if there's any water in it.
Sounds like the safety cut-off switch under the seat. I disabled mine. When pressing down the reverse pedal, you can take too much weight off the seat and it shuts off engine.

All 3 have caused intermittent issues for me... but none in the first 20 hours except becoming familiar with the safety cutout.
