Water pump Question

What is the best way to pump water from a pond into a 200 or 300 gallon plastic tank. Electricity is not available. Do they make a pump that will run off a PTO? If not what are my options? thanks!

They do make PTO driven pumps, not sure what they cost. Do a search on google and you will find a couple of different manufacturers. When I got one to pump water for my garden I went to Tractor Supply, here's a link to thier pump.

How fast does the tank have to filled?

I think about 20 to 30 minutes would be reasonable. Although, I'm sure after I started doing this 10 to 15 minutes would be alot better. 10 to 15 gpm would be ok. thanks!

Have you considered a PTO generator and then an electrical pump? It would be more expensive but may prove more versatile???

Here is another consideration if you have the time, 12 volt. Looks to be around 10gpm.

Can run off of tractor or car battery.

I would use a little gas powered pump. I personally use a Tanaka that weighs about 23 pounds and works great. Honda also makes them but they are larger.
