This is my way to monitor the status of the well system.

I put the gauge basically out of sight until you are standing there looking at it.

If the pressure is between cut on and cut off that is good.

If the pressure is below cut on or above cut off that is bad.

If the pressure is dropping when no water is being used, that is bad.

I just added a Tee, a short hose, a 1/4 NPT thread adapter and a gauge:

Our pressure gauge is on our well pump pressure switch in the basement near the pressure tank and water softener.

Great idea. It could save a trip to the garage when I start to lose pressure. I don't think it would make much difference, though. That only happens on Friday evenings about bedtime. But that way I'd know I'd be all weekend without water without making a trip to the garage to confirm. Thanks for the idea.

Have you ever noticed that your car tends to drift towards the side of the road you are looking at?

Has your wife refused to clean the floors on the gauge side of the toilet yet?

Nope, my aim is still good! :D

I like this idea - we have irrigation and if a leak or a hose is left on this would be an easy check vs going down and looking at the one on the pump switch.

Good idea. And as you get older you have more opportunities to check the status, particularly during night. :giggle:
