I think I'm fine as things set now. I got the protection and reserve capacity I wanted. As a retired engineer, I know when it time to stop engineering before someone decides to shoot the engineer. LOL
Your in very good shape. Worst case is the pressure switch or booster pump will quit you on Thanksgiving day. But you have plan B and plan C to fall back on. Plus you needed the 5000 gallon tank for fire protection, which helps give you those other options to fall back on. But you would be surprised at how many people (many of them engineers) will device something even more complicated when all they are really trying to do is limit the amount of on/off cycling from the well pump, which can be an easy thing to fix.
