Remember the elementary school science experiment where you put a piece of white paper and a piece of black paper on the snow? Based on that solid scientific experiment I have concluded that the climate change is caused by tires. Tires are black. The tread wears off. That black dust is all over. When you think of the billions and billions of tires that are shedding black everyday, how can we help but increase the surface temperature?

I think the national media is finally convincing me about climate (earth) change.....
This spring has brought us the wettest weather I ever remember.
I am to the point of being convinced the earth is being changed to "water world".
But I am seeing a conundrum......
The weather has been cooler all spring (global cooling) yet wetter (global warming?)
I guess I am just a old confused white guy!
Apparently my sarcasm was not as obvious to everyone as it was to me.....

Yeah, I missed it. But, forums do not include the tone of voice and body language that is sometimes needed to properly understand a person's intent.
Usually my sarcasm is over the top, so I have been trying to suppress it down a little.
Maybe I went to far on this one!
Dont know whats causing it all, whether it is a normal cycle, sun phase, guvmint control, or flatulence. But I do know its wet. Of course I forgot about the vaccines. Thats how THEY are doing it.
Don't forget about the fluoride in the tap water! That's an oldie but a goodie.
Here in the West we have a fire season. It used to run from mid July through November. Lately it's been right around mid January to mid December so a tad bit longer than the NHL season.
I knew that your fire season was getting longer but was unaware that it was caused by hockey.![]()
Lol. Now you know!
I don't know about you all but when I used to discuss this with former friends, tempers would fly around what the cause was. Was it volcanos, people or just the normal cycle of the earth? What I can say with a modicum of certainty is that it's people that are going fix it, reduce it or decide to do nothing. Nothing else has those options.
Good post. One can argue what is or is not causing it but there is no debate that it IS happening. My view is that it is a natural cycle but being augmented by mankinds input. Also that it is too late to do much, if anything, about it without ruinning the global economy.
I am quite sure ALGORE will fix it by flying in his private jet across the globe!

That’s the most accurate statement which I’ve ever seen. In 120 years we’ve gone from less than one billion people on the planet to nearly 9 billion; to think that we don’t have some impact is ludicrous.
Yet continuing down this line of discussion is apt to send this thread to that oxymoron “friendly politics”, where some of us fear to tread.
