Once you have a BH I can't see going without. Unless you move to an apartment.

Waxman

I think you made the right decision
With all the time you put in on the mods and the great care you take you know what you have (an outstanding machine)

I at one time was hoping for another green friend put I'll just keep you as an orange one :drink:

Thanks Beltman
I think I made the right decision also, As for the work in making the Mods, no big deal, I enjoyed having projects to do. I could certainly make them again, even better. That was not a factor.
For now I'm staying with Kubota even though its a BIG tractor.

Besides how could I argue with this picture. It looks stubby and strong. I just always have to look at it with the Fel up and backhoe off:D

Everything worked for 100 years. Now educated town engineers are in control and its always the top dollar system needed. Which by the way will only last 25 years anyway. The neighbors system was installed 59 years ago so was mine, but yet thats not good enough in todays standards.
Similar misguided engineering around here. We have really well drained soil, leech fields used to be put in 36-40" below grade, but the engineers said they can't be deeper than 20" to increase evaporation through the grass. Great idea except everybody's leech field froze around here last winter because it got really cold and stayed cold for a long time. None of the engineers showed up to help, people had to have their tanks pumped every week until the spring thaw.

Hey, some great ideas here. I am in the process of hooking a cam for the front of the load so I can see what I am jabbing with the forks, Just broke open two bags of chicken feed the other day trying to move a pallet. However right now my problem is a bit different. I was in the woods and knocked off the antenna to the radio. I get very poor reception now, even after I did a temporary fix on the remaining antenna stub. I was playing with cam today, trying to to improve the contrast on the monitor and accidentally turned off the monitor. All of a sudden the radio started to work great, as if the antenna was unharmed. So is their a wiring issue? Why the wiring on monitor have any affect on the radio? Does this make sense to you?
Do I need to rewire the monitor somehow?
Thanks,
Craig

Ah, the vagaries of radio - - love it! Being an old electronics technician USN 63-70, here's a guess:

If the radio worked will with the camera on before your tragic accident, but now it does not, it is probable the camera system itself is generating some small amount of radio interference. With the antenna connected properly, this interference is not enough to cause issues with the radio, but is with the broken antenna. The interference can be coupled (get from the camera system to the radio) via wiring or as RF (radio frequency energy through the air). Rule one in troubleshooting - fix what you just done first. Which in this case means replace the antenna - it could well be that in breaking it shorted the inside conductor to the shield or ground. Unplugging the antenna from the radio and hooking up a couple of feet of wiring to the center conductor of the radio jack or in-line antenna connector would tell you much.

please get back to us.

If there is a stronger local station, you might try that to just to see.

My recollection is he quit posting some time ago, no mention of buying a new tractor.
