- Kubota 4630 with cab and loader
After much shopping and price comparsons, my wife and I bought an L4630 GSTC, with a cab (with air and heat) an LA 853 loader with quick attach 6 foot bucket, GST trans, extra rear lights, and a radio. We paid $28,500. We got it at Salem Farm Supply, and this was, by far, the best deal that we could get. They also gave us free pick up and delivery for any warranty work.
Both my wife and I test drove this and other tractors, played with various loaders, and decided that this was the setup that we wanted. We were also considering Deere, New Holland and Massey Ferguson, and this was also the best deal we could get for a similar tractor from any of those manufacturers. I was really hoping to get it for $25,000, but there was no way we could get another penny off. But, as I said, this was, by far, the best deal we could get, having checked with about a dozen dealers, so I feel satisfied that we left no stone unturned.
Saturday, the salesman is going to spend at least an hour going over all aspects of the tractor operation at the dealership, with emphasis on safety, then it'll be detailed and delivered. We've already spend a lot of time test driving it, and I appreciate that they want to go over all aspects of it's operation at the dealership, where there are professionals to handle any technical questions that may come up.
