it takes about 2 minutes is all. They are both quick hitch units, and the plow plugs into my 3rd function valves installed by the dealer (though there actually just a set of hoses piped to my rear remotes). The blower plugs into the hydraulic lines that i piped over for winter use from the power pack and an electrical plug for hydraulic controls.

It takes me about 2-3 hours to install the powerpack and route hoses before the winter, then only seconds to attach or disconnect. Come spring ill remove the hoses and powerpack.

the 500# plus powerpack ads nice counterbalance to the blade also.

Oh, OK. So the big setup/removal is done at the beginning/end of winter.

yes, between the powerpack and lines and the chains....that is alot of prep work for one day.
After that its real easy.

Great setup, keep us informed as the winter goes on and the snow storms come more frequent, oh keep the pics coming we (I) love to see them. We received about 3"to 4" of the wet cement type of snow last night as well, just shoveled off deck, Grand L with LA2674 snow blower stayed in barn, not enough yet but I'll bet that will change soon.

I was hoping to be able to try blowing off the snow that shed off of the barn roof, but all its doing is melting while staying on the room. I had 12" of it 2 days ago...now theres maybe 2".

Guess ill have to wait till the next series of storms.

This is the kind of winter i HATE. snow...rain then 41 and melt, then snow again. Its makes for such a mess.

it is a "Quick Attach" brand plow. The end plates are manual. There hinged to stay on the plow and you swing and pin them in place as needed. I have them set to plow the roads in such a way as they only get set 1 time.

I start the plow to the right of center on the first pass and slope so the snow folds to my right side. On the return pass the snow folds to my right side also, but on the other side of the road. I do the same on the next 2 passes. I work from center out so i dont have to reset the gates at all. the great thing is i get no snow ridges left on the road when im done.

Heres a link to site
Snow and Light Material Blade : Quick Attach Attachments, Inc.

theres a pdf link there that shows more detail of it.

greg

If you could, I would like to see more pics of the end plates, both open and closed.

sure. i took some, hope they are what your looking for. I have pics with both rotated out to form a snow push. Both the right and left snow gates are pinned in place. Then i rotates one side open to set it as i am using when i plow. I leave 1 gate closed to prevent snow from flowing out over the edge back onto the road,

very nice setup!!! I have a 2008 kioti DK45 Cab with manual trans and have plans for the same set up, plow for quick work and loader mounted blower when we get big storms. my question/thought is to mount heavy caster wheels on the plow and blower for the early/late storms. i just plowed today and the plow rips up the gravel even with shoes, which digs ruts. any thoughts on this? thanks, keep the pics coming

Very very nice set-up, looks like fun even though I hate snow!

i meant to ask another question, does the plow have a hydraulic relief valve mounted on it like so many on here have talked about? thank

yes, uses hyd relief valve so theres no need for shear bolts. Casters would be nice..i may fab some up for the same reasons for next season.
