Weather underground alternative?

I had been a dedicated WU user for probably a decade or so on my laptop..
Then today I log in and they've changed it over to the weather channel and with all the cr@p they put on the screen there is hardly space for the radar image.
What are others using for free?

I have a weather station that is linked to Weather Underground. Just checked and I dont see any differences in my station webpage

I've been using the Weather Channel. About two years ago I switched to an iPhone to make my wife happy, but all my apps have ten times as much "junk" on them now. Weather Channel on my Android didn't have any advertisements, it was just a forecast and the radar. Now I have to see an ad to get it to open, another ad for every screen I want to look at, and half the time it won't even load the radar screen and I have to try a second time. I've tried to load other aps for the weather, but they have all been worse. I'm at the point wear I feel it's the best I'm going to get, since they are all horrible.

When I go to my bookmark I go to Local Weather Forecast, News and Conditions | Weather Underground.
That gets me to:

Then I try to go to the wundermap I get:

So I log in and get this:

Note it says the weather channel.

Weather Underground has been going downhill since IBM bought them. Weather Channel has gone into the toilet and become useless in my opinion, since IBM bought them. Intellicast was the only good weather reporting service left.... until IBM bought them. I'm still looking for a good, detailed weather forecasting service.
Having said all that, using Safari, Foxfire and Brave browsers, my WU pages still all look the same.

Looking at the temps some of you are posting, all that I can say is "Better you than me."

The only time I want to see them pushing 80 is when my woodstove is cranking out the heat.

Unless you have a dedicated weather station on your land (I do), I know of no better source than the National Weather Service. Just put your zip code into the box on their link and you get excellent forecasts, radar, and a wealth of detailed information if you drill down. All free (well, our tax dollars in action). If you fly an airplane or ride in one, the guy up front depends on them.

Their "forecast discussion" link at the bottom of the forecast page is generated by a real person dedicated to your area of the country. Why Washington wants to attack them is completely beyond me...

While they gather the data which most other sites interpret and use, they seem to be the least accurate here. Quite often they will say one thing while other sites will say another. Then their forecast will change and be in line with everybody else… sometimes I think they go to weather underground and copy their forecast.

I use WU on iPhone, iPad and PC with Windows 11. They all have no ads. I use the WU app with the Apple. I did click on NO Thanks when signing on. Also have tracking shut off in settings. When searching I use Duck Duck Go for search engine. I use it for TBN also.
On my PC I use Duck Duck Go for my search engine. Very few Ads show up.

I like Accuweather for their local radar images. Once you get your area set simply bookmark it for access.

Well, forecast for here is to hit 79 today. Agree, way too hot for the end of April.

I used to use WU, but a few years back the site got so cluttered I went to Weather channel. Just for grins, I went to WU to see what the fuss was about, and it looked the same as before. Windows PC/Chrome browser. No idea how either one looks on a smart phone, don't have one.

Well tried again this morning and WU seems back to large window, but there are still differences. At least it has NOT taken me to the weather channel.

I use Hyperlocal weather on my droid. Love the interface. It is free with ads, or a few bucks a year without them.

It provides a very nice hourly view that I have found to be accurate more than it is not. The hourly view has slicers so you can switch between precip, wind, temp etc Also provides 10 day forecast, radar, etc.
