Jim,
About how many cords of wood do you burn a year?

Up here in the pucker brush one can plan on 6 to8 cords of wood each winter for about 1,200sq.ft home,and wood would be the only heat.

Thomas, I burn about 3 cords a year. I just use wood to supplement the 2 forced air heaters. (natural gas) My house has 2,750 square feet and is well insolated. 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, large utility room. office, kitchen/dinette, dining room, living room and den.

Bad news the weather station saying looks like a repeat of the same weather for Friday into Saturday...GIVE ME MUD SEASON!!

All we got over here was a measley 2-3 inches but lots of wind whipping it around.

Once again the forecasters have over-hyped the storm. Just a plain-ol noreaster. Storm of the century my foot! We got about 18-24" or so. Problem is getting to be where to put it! Starting to make lanes down into the orchard so I can push more down there. Wind is starting to pick up. 'Been trying for lee side piles so the drifts are "away". Had to do the scoop walk a few times already to get out of deep piles from the last few storms. Back out after getting something hot. (One of those days when a cab seems eminently worthwhile - too bad - gotta find those ski goggles).

On the other hand - any excuse to be on the tractor is a good one!

Well we got a shovel full or two up here in Vt. About 19 inch's this morning. You know you have got alot of snow when you do your walk around preflight and your bucket is already full of snow. Not alot of wind but they say it's coming. There go's my driveway again. It's a little bit more narrow today.
