Sad to say, but it seems that all the major tractor retailers are simply lying on their websites about the state of inventory. After shopping this fall, the pattern spreads across EVERY brand. This isn't just confusion over the list of models being on the site versus ones that have real pictures and a "unit" behind it. It's a game of bait and switch... Anyone else enjoying this game?

All the dealers in my area are finally catching up on inventory and have quite a few tractors on thier lots as apposed to making things up the last few years

Seemed to be a lot of new orange equipment at my local dealer when I picked up parts last week. Lots of mini-x's and CTL's to choose from. I think "it depends" on what you are looking to buy.

All the different colors in my area: both the orange ones, the red one both the blue ones and the green one all are showing plenty of stock for the last couple months. New truckloads show up with a reasonable frequency.

The dealer stock is increasing in my area and so are the prices!! The cost of used machines on dealer lots is also getting ridiculous!

Unless you're trading a decent tractor, I think this will cut into the first time buyer market for small property owners and hobby farmers interested in CUT's.

What I found when I was buying was the dealer basically had a stock photo of the model on the website and not the actual tractor that was on the lot. I am sure that is easier than taking new photos of every tractor and since unlike cars and trucks most all look the same it is still off putting when you notice the small differences in person and realize its not the same tractor that you have been looking at online.

If a dealership doesn’t post actual pictures of the unit online then they don’t get my business. When a dealer posts plenty of pictures it tells me they’re making a good faith effort to sell and I’m much more interested in making a deal. That said, the most recent truck and trailer I bought I had to special order.

I can go one direction and dealers are stocked to the hills. I go another direction and they hardly have anything.

Edawg said it best! Where I live Kubota is about non existant, a few Hoes, small Bx's all with backhoe's and about no tractors but the very large ones and only one or two. Nothing much under 65HP but a few Grand models. It is all a Rouse here and much of the country.

I pass 2 bobcat dealers all the time and they both have a good number of tractors . The JD dealer has a good stock of tractors as well.
