weed eater/chopper string

My Weedwhacker came with a thing called a "Tri-Arc" blade, it's kind of a circle with three rectangles sticking out, works like a champ. You can turn it up on edge and edge with it too, and it doesn't get clogged up when I'm cutting long grass.

Looks like this.........

Man, I bout fell off my chair laughing at a couple of those posts.

The local hardware store had a big sign posted about those chain head replacements for weedeaters. Seem that the chain works its way thorugh the pin that holds it on the head causing it to fly off at high speed. I have one and it didn't work very good anyway.
Grass: good
Heavy weeds: real good
Fence: bad
Brick: bad
Metal shed: bad
Plywood shed: bad
Ground wire to the house: bad
Copper propane line: REAL BAD

I don't think you will find much that will stand up to a T post that wont take out the T post in the process.

Fusing the end of cable doesn't help because you end up breaking the wire sooner or later. Then you have to stop and go fuse it again when you pull the wire back out of the spool? I tried it, since I have several thousand feet of a couple different types. Wish it had of worked, sure wanted it to...

The DR trimmers use .155" line. check out ebay item 7776342275.
If you want to use metal, try a disk mower head. It has little blades that pivot like bushhog blades. http://www.agrisupplyco.com/page43 Any metal cable or chain is guaranteed to regularly go flying and the weight will give it a pretty wide kill zone.
