Ballast Weight

Depends on whether R1, R3 or R4 type tires and what you're putting in the tires. If it's R4's, it should probably be 800 - 1,000 lbs for both tires. R1 will be less, R3's probably more. Shop manual should have a chart with specs for the L3800 or a call to a dealer should narrow it down.

Yep there's a chart the tire shop has that lists tire size vs. ballast weight. Also the tractor manual may list it. I know my L3830 manual does.
