If you have a machine shop close buy most industrial upright bandsaws have a fusion welder onboard.:thumbsup: Mig welder no filler will be a good second choice. Clamp it in place to insrue it is good and square. Be sure to aneal it after the weld (before griinding it flat).;) Good luck.

IIRMC after grinding flush you put it back in the welder and tempered the weld (just enough heat to get a gun metal blue) then you are good to go.

You might check with an industrial supply and find out who they sell blade stock to (comes in 250' roll), then see if that shop will reweld your blade.

You mean TIG not MIG. Tig and no filler for carbon back blades only. Hard back blades can't be joined by conventional means. The joint won't last because it has to be heat treated.

Mig is always filler, the mig wire is intrinsic to the process.
