Might have been, but its not directly related to mining. Think more construction.

Early Concrete pump, bucket, or mixing contraption? Out of ideas I'll let someone else guess still intrigued. Speaking of intrigued, ever been to the small railroad, mining, and farming museum by the old sand dredge on 26 out of Hancock near Dollar Bay? Stopped there once wasn't open .

Here it is.
This belonged to the husband of a woman I worked with many years ago. He had a business crawling on his belly. He'd slide under a sagging house, jack it up, dig it out, and install a new foundation or complete basement, then set it back down. It's still sitting behind their old house to this day. I think I took this photo 3-4 years ago. His old truck is still there too.

Anyhow, don't want to derail this thread, just showing it..

What might this be? I have no idea. Its like a boat anchor and I'd guess weights 400lbs.

What was this building used for? I know the answer and the wood has rotted off of these I beams you see. This building did have a roof at one time.

This is the front side of the same room. I was in here spraying the trees with a herbicide.
