Weld Wire and Staples ?

I've been using hot-dipped galvanized nails in my nail gun to put up four board fence in treated posts. I'm not worried about the nails, but I believe the galvanized staples I refferred to earlier are electroplate galvanized - much thinner layer than hot dip. May not last, but as others have mentioned it is easy to go back and add more staples later, with the pneumatic stapler.
I bought the 19.95 metal & 2x4 fence wire stretcher from TSC, very happy with it's performance. I stretch the wire by attaching the bracket & 2x4 to the wire, and tensioning it with some 2" ratcheting straps that I tie off to my tractor or other immobile device. The welded wire does fail easy though - one of our horses ran right through it, didn't leave a mark on the mare but burst an 8 foot section of wire.

I filed a notch in my 1/4" crown stapler to center it on a wire. Works great!. Mainly use it for chicken wire.

Do you have any problems with those powered staplers 'cutting' thin wire?
