i think it looks good and will probably look better when its raining or snowing and I bet it doesnt add much weight above the COG.

I am amazed at some of the welding projects I have seen here but I would not know a good welding machine/unit if it bite me on my butt. I have worked wood for 40+ years and I know a good saw when I see it. I think your project is just fine. Got into tractors just lately, maybe I can use my cabinet skills after all. LOL.

I think you do what it takes to make you comfortable. Down here snow isn't an issue, but I understand the need. My grandfather built something similar for his FEL some 20 years ago with plexi-glass, angle iron, and 1x2's. It was the darnest thing, but helped a great deal when hauling out round bales in freezing weather.

I couldn't even tell what material it was, and I won't knock it one big. I think it will serve it's purpose and good job.

Looks good indeed. I would go with the double hung windows, then you can go with the window AC in the summer ! PTO gen to run it and you are living the good life !
