Welders don't read this one ! Homemade cab

I was all upset that I didn't get to laugh...until I read Pingg2blue's signature. That is funny. The cab on the other hand looks great. You know what would make it look better? If it was on my tractor keeping me out of the wind, rain, snow, and ice. Thanks for the pictures. It really does look good. Oh yeah, you're gonna need a windshield wiper. Ask the wife to hold the squeegee(spelling?) and walk along the tractor as you work. She could hold your hot cocoa for you too .

Well I'm disappointed as well. I didn't get to laugh or even a chuckle! As a matter of fact I tip my lid to you for what you've done. You've showed great resourcefulness and the project turned out great in my opinion. Gawd, if you did weld you could have made the full tractor seeing what you did with a bit of wood. Nice work but you owe a lot of us a laugh now that we didn't get.

The early automobiles were built with wooden passenger compartments not to mention all the horse drawn carriages that went before them.

At work we have a 1987 Kenworth C-500 truck with plywood floorboards in the cab.

Looks like some of you folks say I owe you a laugh !
Well after my head swelling goes down from all the pats on the back , you can be sure I had my wife link to this thread so she can see I am not that much of a nutbar with my tractor.
But for a laugh you might be able to see the three quarter inch plywood I am using for a a skid plate under neath hanging by steel strapping to existing bolt holes.
Brotek would not be happy !!! On the bright side it was easy to cut an access hole for the oil filter thingy .
