Welding a cast iron tool (Roper-Whitney XX punch)

Well I guess a test is in order Same as when you get new tires on your car, why not test them?

Here's the biggest punch/die in 22ga steel. Squeezing it flexed the handles, not sure I could have punched much thicker (steel). I didn't have a suitable sample of the next size thicker to test.
