Welding cart

I just put the last welds on this project today.





I'm pretty pleased with the welds holding the expanded metal on. Welding them up without melting the expanded metal away took some ... skill? It might have been skill. How about that? E6011 3/32" at about 65-70 amps.







The bottom of the TIG filler-wire-holders was, appropriately enough, TIG'ed on.

I can really identify with that. The primer I use says to put on a topcoat within 1 hour, or after 48 hours. But of course, I can never get the whole thing covered, top to bottom, in one coat. I always have to turn it over or something. So I end up putting the primer on, then waiting 2-3 hours until it can be handled, then putting the rest of the primer on, then waiting 48 hours, then doing the same thing all over with paint. Bottom line: it takes at least four days after I finish anything until I can get the paint on it and use it.

Okay, technically, I don't always wait the full 48 hours for the topcoat to cure.
