Amen. We used to call it "zinc flue". It's nasty (but not as deadly as cadmium fumes.)
Apologies to the OP for being slightly off topic but...
Cadmium is often used as a coating on steel to prevent rust. However, cadmium in welding fumes causes the lung disease, emphysema, as well as kidney failure.
I was once told it accumulates in your body with no obvious symptoms. Then one day there's too much (and it's too late)
