Well and water

Don,
I have pulled the airstone three times and cleaned it with muriatic acid since summer of 98. When it is due for cleaning, it tells you as the "normal" lump in the center of the pond is significantly reduced in height. I use a duck decoy on a stainless steel line to the stone to permit easy recovery of the stone when required, as it is more attractive than a buoy or float. I have not had to do any maintenance other than cleaning the airstone and changing two filters every six months or so. The manufacturer recommends changing the compressor vanes every 2-4 years and the bearings every 2-6 years, however, I have not found it necessary to do either, so far. The system I have cost $2200 in 1998. I have attached a photo of the pond taken this morning. The contact who picked up the product from Pond Filtration is Skip Fiting at Natural Reflections LLC his phone is: 736-682-2080, email is: reflections7@charter.net. I wasn't willing to risk the safety issue on eletrical connections in the pond with grandkids playing and fishing, regardless of the odds.
Bill

Thanks for the contact. Nice looking pond. Looks about the same size as mine. Wish I had slopes to provide runoff to keep it full...
