Get rid of your phone! I know if I did, I would be retired (fired) quickly. :D
I can't even log into my computer without using my phone to authenticate me.

... I think it will take at least 3 or 4 weeks to "retrain my brain". I wonder how many times I will leave the driveway and head the wrong way toward work... lol :confused2:

Congratulations on retirement! Jealous am I.:laughing::laughing:

Wifey and I were discussing how long it would take to move into retirement mode after retiring. On another website I read, one of the members and his wife recently retired. He and his wife had thought they might go back to work after retiring for some time. Now that they have spent some time being retired, neither of them has any desire to return to work.

We were watching a sailing video blog last night. The crew/boat is sailing around the world and they are in their 30's to 40s, the ba....ds.:laughing::laughing::laughing: Jealous we are. Anywho, the video was taken when they were anchored off of Nambia in May. One of the crew was asked what day it was and he said April 28th. Then he said Monday or Tuesday. He really had no idea of the date or day of the week. It was May 3rd and Wednesday if I remember right.:laughing::laughing: I want to be so relaxed and out of touch from the work world that I do not know what day it is. :D:D:D

Later,
Dan

...to realize that I am actually retired and don't have to rush to finish a project. I was thinking, on the last nite I worked, about how we have "muscle memory" from doing a repeated task. We don't really even have to think about it to perform it. I got to wondering if we have "work memory" from going to the same place over long years. I keep thinking my week off will be over Friday and I go back for another 7 days...lol Not happening. I think it will take at least 3 or 4 weeks to "retrain my brain". I wonder how many times I will leave the driveway and head the wrong way toward work... lol :confused2:

Congratulations! :)

I "got retired" after 30 years when my employer outsourced all production to another company. Wasn't unexpected. Anyhow, I had another job lined up within about 2 hours, so after the 6 weeks at my old employer were up, I started the next day at my new job. They are both in the general same direction from my house. In the first 3 weeks, I only drove to my old job about half a dozen times. I caught myself before pulling into the parking lot!

Good for you GW, good for you. Live, Love and Enjoy Life.
One tip I saw on Tractor by Net is that a guy on here saves a little money by going out for breakfast with his wife instead of going out to dinner. I always thought that was a good idea.

Sounds great and if you are lucky, they also serve steak for breakfast. Try a Bacon, Cheese and Tomato Omelette if you need a change-up. Darn, now I'm hungry!

Congratulations. Now you have truly joined in with the rest of us. At first its a bit difficult to get out of the old routine - however, soon you won't care what day it is. You will know you have arrived when you don't care what time of the day it is either.

I do what I want to do - when I want to do it - regardless of the day of the week or hour of the day. Same with sleep - I sleep when I'm tired - otherwise I try to stay busy.
