I have the R1 tires and pull a finish mower on the yard and pasture: it does fine. I don't have a lawn ( I call it my yard) but when everything greens up it almost looks like one. The tires do leave an imprint but they work so well in working situations that I would not want to be without them. The HST is great for tilling the garden as you can control the speed to much slower than a geared tractor. Any loss in power is made up by the larger more powerful engine. Great for mowing as well to change speeds at your whim.
