Just an update: I did end up installing my old line with the brazed up crack, so far it is holding & didn't drip a bit. I went out sat to play (err I mean work) and installed the old line bleed the system & started right up, (unfortuneatly I had left the dang key on AGAIN and left the battery week but still started. I bought some of that anti-sulphate battery cleaner juice from harbor freight a while back. seems that stuff must help. she held a 10+ charge the whole time I was running the thing 1+ hrs straight and finally must have finished charging naturally after the 2nd hour. not a drop of fuel from that braze job (something I hadn't done since high school.) I have the NEW line, will hose it off with anti-rust and set it into my stock untill I get a chance to pull valve covers & do my 300 hr valve lash adjustment & oil change later this fall... Or untill the brazing lets go...

Spiker,
Good job. I think your braze should hold up plenty good if done well. And it sounds like you did otherwise it would leak right from the get-go. Hate to read about some of the problems you had, and this right after you fixed it. That can be annoying. Glad you got them fixed.

Hi Guys:

Sorry I hadn't posted much lately but lots goig on, got my surgery, was in there nearly 3 full hrs under. was susposed to be 30~45 min operation. anyhow I'm moving now still not great drove tractor for hr yesterday moving some of the built up dirt (4 or 5 dump wagon loads full @ 2 yards each) this was left over from the moving of the dirt from the high side of barn to the low side. I need to do a LOT more yet too but the twisting was a bit much on my operation & shifting got to be painfull.

I took some photos a few weeks back of the place b4 it rained a lot of the area. and some of the tractors broken wheel. not the line. I posted thumbnails under the project forum on the barn, where timber posted his barn project.

here is the broken wheel shaft/hub known as a driving shaft in the manual, the hub half and the splined part that broke off & the 2 together.

"EDIT IN" as you can see it appears that the hub/shaft had been partly sheared/twisted for a while and was working the outter section smooth as it WORKED the hub/shaft. anyhow thanks to Affordable for getting me the parts I needed. "end Edit"

OK well now I got a few good ideas on how to post these on line if anyone wasnts high res photos let me know & I'll post them there too.

I'll also post more photos as I get time.
