Thanks. Sure was unexpected.

On a more humorous note, last week I managed to slam my hand in a door to a freight type elevator, and then the door locked shut because the elevator left the floor. Won't go into details, but was stuck there for about 45 seconds before I got free. Index finger was over my middle finger and pointing at my pinkie and then the blood starts coming from every nook and cranny. Let me tell you, when you see something like that, the first thing you think to yourself is "Well, that don't look right."

4 weeks in a cast with 3 pins in my finger and i'll be good as can be expected.

I have pins in my ankle. It’s been about a month after the original 6 weeks no weight bearing and it still hurts sometimes. I used to go up stairs 2 at a time and I can’t do that anymore either.

I have graduated from walking on my knuckles....

Are you permanently pinned? Mine come out after four weeks. Just there until the bone grows back together. You doing therapy to get back to where you were before?

Permanently pinned unless it becomes necessary to remove. They said it wasn’t necessary to slice me open again because the pins hardly ever caused problems. I was in therapy for a couple weeks but not now.

I post stastus in good morning thread. Slowly getting better. Getting lot more leg movement now. Was able to stand for a minute the other day, holding myself up with arms. I use wheelchair for now. In Univ MD acute rehab facility, 2 PT and 1 OT session a day. Been here 3 wks.
Only took 5 days to lose ability to walk. Projected to go home 23rd, for in home therapy. Have. Lots of nerve pain in hands and fingers.

I was on my 2nd pneumonia meds when rhis struck me july 6th.
Guy at work got that. He was out a long time (6-12 months) but made 100% recovery. I hope your recovery is as good as his was.

Now I have walking pneumonia!!

I have got so much to do this fall and the PA at the walk in clinic said I would be out of circulation for 8-10 days.

Tore the slip clutch out of the old Ford mower and have parts coming Tuesday. Need to get 24 acres mowed and that is hard to do on a 22-hp Kioti with a 5' mower and very small rear tires. The old Ford is only a foot wider but three times as fast without beating you half to death.

Gotta babysit a six and a two and a half year old five days while parents gone on second honeymoon.

My retired life is getting me farther and farther behind. Wife is going to have to pick up the slack.

RSKY

If you are mowing 24 acres then pneumonia is the least of your problems. If you cant afford paying the blinds then you are playing at the wrong table.

Holy cow you guys!

I sure hope all goes well for you.

Was running, (sorta) with the dogs the other day, thru woods and grass area. One of the dogs tripped and fell, i laughed and followed close behind, into post hole hidden in the grass. I'd forgotten to fill it in and the grass grew up around it. My foot was wrecked, big bruise on top of toes, then my knee started hurting and now my hip is not happy. Not to mention my right shoulder, that took some of the brunt of the fall. Down to just a sore hip now, oh and walking pneumonia probably for 8 months or so. Feeling much better now, especially after the afternoon baby sitting the grandson, playing "speed" legos.:D:thumbsup:

....be careful, walking pneumonia can easily lead to complications and an accompanying case of the boogie-woogie flu.
