I went thru the same thing a few years ago;drove me nuts;replaced the check ect.Ended up being a hole in the drop to the pump.Get some help and replace along with the "o"ring on the pitless adpt.Make sure to replace the "bumpers" on the drop line.Plastic lines /vibration/time,you will have a problem at some point.Change before it breaks and you lose the pump.
