Tractor
Kubota B2620
Well I went to my local Kubota dealer today to "look" at a tractor. I was actually decided on something like the B2320, but my dealer didn't have any. He did have two B2620's, with FEL sitting on the lot. After looking the unit over and talking with the dealer a bit he came out with the "do ya wanna drive it?"

Well of course I do! That was the point when my wife said she knew we were going home with a tractor. She said the look on my face left no doubt at all :D

The dealer did not have the BH65 Back hoe, which I also purchased, along with a thumb and alternator upgrade. When all of those parts come in he will come back and pick up the tractor to install and bring back to me. It really nice when the dealer's home is less than a half a mile from your own.

Haven't gotten much time to play with it yet, but I will and I"ll be sure to take pics and tell stories. Oh and if anyone was wondering, the whole package with FEL, BH, thumb and alt kit was 20K. Which was right at 11% off of whole goods so I feel like the dealer and myself came out pretty good with the transaction, espically considering the free delivery and pickup mentioned above.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this model please feel free to share.

Congrats on the new tractor. Sounds like you got a good deal on a really nice setup. Pics when you have them, please!

And don't forget to ask the dealer for your free hat...

Dittos on the congrats.

I looked at an identical setup a week or so ago, and they were pretty firm at around $22k. One of my neighbors has that machine, and it's awesome!

Nicely done.

Thank you Lindy and Jay. I'm still trying to find the time to play with it more than just 30 mins after work. The one thing that does blow the mind of the dealer and myself is the seat. In the literature it says the reversable seat is standard with the BH65. Well the seat on the tractor now does NOT reverse in any way. I'm hoping that a different seat bracket will come with the hoe when it gets here. Going to call the dealer tomorrow to find out when the hoe should be here.

Any one have experience with this seat? Also I took a few pics, but I feel almost wrong posting any without the hoe mounted...so you guys and gals may just have to wait til then to see the full glory.

Don't have experience with your particular seat, but I think the "spinny rig" comes with the backhoe. Rest assured that you'll be able to spin when the machine comes back.

Yes, there is a different seat that comes with the backhoe. The seat uses the same base, but does sit just a bit higher. Perhaps I've saved some shots of both for you to look at.... Yes, the one on the left is the standard seat, and the one on the right is the one that comes with the backhoe, and you can plainly see the different mechanism. I hope the original poster of the one on the right doesn't mind me using the pic here. :)

Received my B2620 a couple of weeks ago. It has really been great. Had a bx2200. I purchased the 5' mmm, 5' land pride rotary cutter, and 5' land pride back blade. Looking at rtr1058 land pride tiller at this moment. Need to purchase while the better half agrees. So will probably get it tomorrow or Sat.

Here is the RTR1050 with a B2320. I might get a BH in the future.
I mostly use the tractor for tilling.

Thanks for the info about the seat, I figured that was how it would work out. So far I'm very happy with the machine. I should be getting my hoe on tuesday or wed of this coming week, I'll get some pics taken when it comes back and maybe an action shot or two. It is a big investment to buy a tractor, but I can already tell that it will pay for itself many times over during its life. I've already told my wife I'm going to throw my shovel away. :D

Well I got the 2620 back the other day with the BH on. I have had a little time here and there to play with it and I LOVE IT. The machine doesn't really feel tippy at all, the weight seems to be distributed fairly well. The hoe takes a bit of getting used too as the boom raise and boom swing operate much faster that the dipper and bucket curl. Once you figure out to feather the boom control stick a bit more that the dipper/curl its no problem. I dug a small trench this morning, about 60' long...3' or so deep. As promised I took some pics.
