Yeah thats not a great feeling in a machine your familiar with. When I slide the D5B off the trailer this spring it seemed to got slo then fast and I was along for the ride lol.
As for being in an unsafe place the operator has a responisbility to decide whats in his limits or get another operator. The only times I saw a rubber tired hoe in an accident was operator error. One was driving in 3rd gear/road gear on a jobsite pond levee and was throwing the colas to it with the front end bouncin then he lost control and ended up in an ash settlement pond. . The text and the picture of everything knuckled in makes it look like he was in transit and let it get loose.
