Good to hear, Molalla. Beautiful clean blue skies and white puffy clouds this afternoon. I am taking some deep breaths and enjoying the last warm rays of sunshine. We got 1.5in of rain last night.

We have calmed down to normal . . . a few of us were invited by our local fire department to come by, they gave us hats and a "atta boy speach".

Were you part of the " Hillbilly Brigade" that was on a you tube video. They mostly featured a gal with a Border Collie riding with her but it was pretty cool.

Don't know Jim, if it was a old gal with a Ausie, that would be my wife . . . what was cool about it was there was a solid group of us helping and it worked . . . I actually could get a company going now since all this crap happened . . . people want fire breaks . . .

on edit . . . I looked that up and no that certainly is not my wife :laughing: . . . I guess we were a part of that, we were lucky and saved the town and a lot of properties with her and my dosers and a lot more, did not realize how many stayed and fought it. We all were suposed to evacuate.

I actually got 0.45 inches of rain today. That's a major rain event for this area. Not enough to create any puddles - soaked in just like a sponge.
