Todays' looks like just clouds. Looking from our mountains into valleys there's still a light amount of dispersed drift smoke in the air but it's pretty good. Cold temps and possibly some rain in store for us this weekend.

The last 4 days have been great weather for us but the sky is hazy with great sunsets and smells like smoke. I want some clean Fall air....please?

Crazy weather again with high winds... 60 to 85 in Bay Area up to 130 mph at Tahoe Ski Resorts...
Extreme wind has invigorated about a dozen fires...
Believe it or not some fires are attributed to smoldering embers from LAST year's California fires...
My friend in Santa Cruz that was burned out posted pictures many weeks after the fire of Redwoods smoldering...
January fire watch is also a first...

Yikes! And we are fixing to head south in the next few days in a leisurely manner for some warmer/dryer weather for a few weeks. I need to check out the coastal weather. Our route to avoid the Southern OR, NorCal passes.
