I've watched a lot of the movies/series on your list. Haven't seen Gray Ghost since I was a kid, wish they would show that one again. For some reason it sticks in my mind. :D

That was good old Steve McQueen in Wanted dead or alive. It was a sawed off rifle though I recall. LOL, I'd forgotten that one. Another classic!

Yep, sawed off rifle. Then in El Dorado, John Wayne's sidekick, Jame Caan, used a sawed off shotgun that looked very similar.

As a kid, I loved the Bat Masterson series so much that all I wanted for Christmas was a Bat Masterson Walking Cane. The one I wanted had a place you could put a cap inside the head of the cane and if you tapped it on the ground, the cap would go, "POP!" What fun!:D

It called a "Mare's Leg"
You too can have one if you really want!

In 2008, Legacy Sports International introduced a Mare's Leg. It is made by Chiappa in Italy, imported for Legacy, and sold under the brand name Puma. This Puma 92 is named the Bounty Hunter. It is available in several calibers including; .44 magnum, .45 Colt, and .44-40. With a 12 inch barrel, no shoulder stock, and a receiver that has never been built into a rifle, it is considered a pistol by the ATF

Well, many of the early TV series were based on existing radio series that we used to listen to. We never missed an episode of Dragnet or Suspense. Have Gun Will Travel was also one of our radio favorites. Here is a link to a list of old time radio programs. I'd bet some of the older members here see a lot of names we remember from the days before television was common. I know we didn't get a TV in our home until 1956.

Have Gun Will Travel was certainly one of my favs, and still wins for the "cool" factor. The name "Paladin", the horsehead logo, black outfit, etc. have always had a very high cool factor for me. Wanted Dead or Alive & Maverick may be my top 3, but I loved all the Warner Bros westerns that came in the early 60s....Cheyenne, Sugarfoot, Bronco Lane, Lawman (John Russell). Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and many others will always be classics. Which leads to the question...was there ever a really BAD western series? If so, I don't seem to recall it.

Oh yeah...The Rifleman was a favorite of mine too.

I remember listening to Gunsmoke on the radio, anyone remember why Chester had a limp. Also, there was one western that had a deputy called Shotgun Gibbs, anyone recall the name of the show?

Good list, did you find any sites you could free and legally download any of them without a signup requirement and e-mail address so you don't get any of their junk mail?

Was Mr. Gibbs with Hugh O'Brien? That was another good'un.
