4800 hrs very straight just needed water pump and AC was shot . I wanted it to leave on the sprayer all year round , Cheaper than a self propelled

If your really looking for FWA then your going to have to be patient with your search. You can find a deal but you will need to jump on it fast when you find it.

I'm selling a 2wd Ford 7710-II with cab but 2wd and its going to sell for around $15k with a new engine and pto. That same tractor with FWA is going to be at least $3-4k higher.

I run a Gehl 2340 discbine behind a 50 horse tractor and it is undersized. I can get by because I farm all flat ground but it doesn't have the power to pull it up hill without dropping a gear or two. Put it on the big tractor and you fly. I know the 12' discbine you use would really be demanding so I would definitely want as big a tractor as you can get and your right wanting FWA as it will help you on the hills.

100hp? That seems excessive. My father owned and worked a 300 acre dairy farm for 40 years and he never owned a tractor that size. Mostly side hill as well.

True, and I'm sure his father or grand-father may have farmed with teams of horses or mules too. HP is cheap these days and getting the job done quicker is never a bad thing. Plus the machines in that 100 ish hp range tend to be less expensive than ones in the 30-40 range, so why not?
