What are these? Badges?

My grandfather had a handful of similar medals from events like conventions. As a kid I thought they were coins.
A web search just now, using the terms "souvenir: medals, badges, tokens or whatever I could think of" has lead me to believe that people will sell mementos of any event where they think they can make a profit. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold them at public hangings.

They look like typical "sash" badges...?

A large quantity of the small ones would go through lapel button hole, so lapel pins would be my best guess.

The Clemson badges look like collectible coins of some sort, but there’s nothing on the back! No threaded stud or any kind of engraving.
The bigger ones seem like theyd be mounted to a door with a decorative screw? However, the hole is really big, like 5/16”.

Having attended my share of conventions in aviation I started to collect those lapel badges.
I mounted them on a framed board as a sort of story board.

They were so popular that I created my own version with my company logo.
Folks would actually visit my display booth often to simply add to their collections and then my goal was met.

Did the same with visor caps later on when cap collecting was in fashion.
I had aviators 'drop in' simply to add a cap to their collection but being the sales type that I was it allowed me to introduce our service capabilities.

The trick was to remain hospitable but not pushy all while explaining your firm's capabilities.

If you would like, take some pics of the Clemson "badges" and I'll hit up my old timer friends on Tigernet and see what they are. If you are interested in selling the Clemson ones I would like to buy them.
