What are these hydraulic fittings called

Or Chinese made. I have those on a hydraulic hose crimper I just bought. I'm changing the pump configuration so I can also use my air-over hydraulic pump. It's also using ~5/16" ID hose so it must be metric something or other. My guess is BSPP also. The male side looks like just a tube with a short taper on the entry side. The side that's being held in the OP's pictures is the female side.

Here's my new crimper with eight die sets. (Six of the sets are visible in the drawer.)

I got it off Amazon. I paid $756 with tax but they gave me a $30 refund because I had one bad die element. They sent a new element, and all is good. I got this one because it has keyed dies. Others have magnet attached dies and they can shift during crimping.

Because it's an import, I expected it to be a "kit". I made a few changes to mine including adding rubber feet, taking the slop out of the micrometer and adjusting the light to match the actual crimp diameter at the specified micrometer setting. An accurate micrometer is an absolute requirement. I measured and used a socket to set the micrometer with a die set.

Since you'll likely be using various brands of hose and hose connectors without specs, get familiar with the hose crimp formula. (Shown Below) It's imperative that you come within +/- 0.005" on the crimp diameter. There's a phone app out there to do the calculation but it only works for Apple phones. So, I downloaded Excel to my Android phone and created a worksheet with the calculation. You can use metric (mm) or inches in the calc but stick with the same throughout.

I suppose you're asking me. It says 2-wire, but it will also do up to 4-wire if you know the hose compression percent. The crimp will compress with over 400,000lbf.

Looking at buying one of those China crimpers like you boiught. How many hoses you done and how do you like it now? O have quiye a few hoses I need ro do. Thaks in advance want to get one soon.

I've only done two so far. I'm still waiting for a new 14mm die set. The replacements they sent were the 16mm dies. So, the 14mm set I have is unusable. That's the set that would be used most for 1/4" hose and hose ends. They sent me a whole new set of 14mm, but they haven't arrived yet. Hopefully, they should be here in another week.

I've spent the time modifying mine to use an air over hydraulic pump and fine tuning the micrometer and light switch. I also put rubber feet on the bottom. It's just the way I like it now. Just need my dies. I bought a worktable for it but had to send that back. Two of the lower adjustable legs were missing and didn't want to wait two weeks or more for replacements. Home Depot had a sale on toolboxes, so I got their 9-drawer. It's the same as Harbor Freight's except this one has quiet closing drawers and an outlet.

I hope you get one soon. What was wrong with the ones that came with it? I have a friend over a year ago that bought a VEVOR slushy machine for her bar, First time she used it it was leaking bad thru the spiut, she drained it and one of the workers threw away the punger and speings, she has yet been able to replace them from the manufacturer. If I had one but both was thrown away. I have yet to find a briken one on ebay. Thats one bad thing about china products and thats replacement parts.

I posted a picture of one. I made it 1/2" too long so I made another. The other one is mounted on the crimper. It took a trial of around 5k psi and had no leaks. I don't see the crimp gauge go past about 2k psi on a normal crimp. I could have gone higher on the trial but didn't want to crush one of my sockets.

The test crimps don't look like they should because I used 16mm dies instead of 14mm and turned in the micrometer to compensate. The higher the die size, the wider the footprint on the die. It worked but this is not something I'd do on a regular basis. I did this to get my crimper back together.

The key on the back of one of the 14mm dies was not centered (see image). This made the whole set unusable. They sent me two replacements but those were 16mm dies. I'm now waiting for a complete new 14mm set. If this turns out to be a bust, I'll machine down one of the 10mm dies to be a 14mm and leave my scathing review.

The radius on the crimp side is about 7mm. The dies are pretty hard, but I've got a 1/2" round-nose carbide end mill that should come pretty close.
