( txhawg say something about safety. do tractor require saftey regulation or can I just get by with my drivers license? )

Tractors usually do require a key, but you can hot-wire them easily enough if you lose it. But if the Tractor Police pull you over and your license has expired, you will be in plenty of trouble.

What these fellows are trying to say to you in a somewhat round about way is that you need to be a little bit clearer on asking your questions.

If you're interested in getting a tractor, what exactly are the types of jobs that you want to use it for? How large of a property will it be used on? What's your budget for purchasing a tractor? Where are you located? Your location can have a dramatic impact on the advice that can be offered. Take a few minutes to fill out your profile by clicking on My Home at the top of the page. Then page down to Main Configuration and click on Edit to the right of Personal Preferences . Then just fill in the blanks and answer the questions.

It would seem that, based on your first couple of questions, you don't have much experience with tractors. Take some time to read through the many forums here to learn more about them. Since you seem interested in learning what tractors can do, pay particular attention to the Owning/Operating forums. You could also review the Projects forum for additional ideas.

Ahhh I can only assume that you typed this backward and ment to say that tractors have 4 wheels and were two wheel drive. If that is so then you are correct on older farm type of tractors. Most new 10 yrears or less tractors are 4 wheel drive but can be had in two wheel. You do not need a license to drive one unless maybe you are doing construction work and drive it on the street. Would vary by state law. Assuming this was a serious question and not some sort of fishing expedetion you just need to go to any tractor dealer and look at a few.

yes. 2wd, 4wd. please excuse my english which is not good. i don't have land, but my friends who have land. they need general work. most post on this board are too advanced. i need to know what good tractor is for general work.

Your posts came out sounding more like a joke, which we now know was not intentional.
Tell us what type of work you need to do, how much land ec. Also, it would help if we knew where you need to do this work.
Where are you located?
Don't worry about your English, there are plenty of us on here that don't do so well with English either.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy people. I think this is a kid here on the post getting some kicks out of asking silly questions about tractors. Now, if I am wrong about this person, he or she needs to really find out a lot about tractors before they buy. If they don't, they could get hurt or killed fooling around with tractors.

What say you people on this post. Is this person serious, or getting his or her jollies off asking questions.
