I worked at a tractor dealership mechanicing. When people came in with them shear bolts them parts boys were what brand is it? Do you have the old one? They'd get out their calipers and measuring tapes and look so official. Knowing they were going to the bolt bin to get a 42 cent bolt to sell for 25 dollars. Customer would ask about the nut. Oh, nuts are 8 dollars, figured you would use your old one to save money. Customer would leave feeling good with his 25 dollar cheap no grade bolt from the grab box. I guess it's all in perception.
