I also would do some research on the Duetz you checked out. Based on what you said, you liked it, just didn't care for the global origins part. My worry would be how available their parts supply is, and less what countries it was assembled in. Plenty of good machines built all around the world, and also crap made in the US. Japan has a good reputation, but Toyota and Lexus, both out out lemons, and I wouldn't exactly call Nissian a premium quality vehicle. Also, don't forget many of those highly regarded Japanese company's build in Thailand.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I really have to do something to get a Facebook account so I can use market place. It's been an on going problem for us for years. We've tried contacting FB but nothing ever happens, they just suspend our account and we have no recourse.
I'm guessing some algorithm flags us as a fake account since we're just using it for marketplace. I.e. no personal info etc. Frustrating to say the least.

Anyway, I thought I'd found my unicorn. Last night I got a text from a dealer with a 57 hour 2022 M5-111 for $59K. He said his buyer backed out and he'd give me a call this morning. Anyway turns out it was in a dealers lot that flooded. Hard pass on that one. As they say, if it seems too good to be true...

FB doesn't like you because they can't sell your information the way you're using it!

I'd think it'd take about two feet of water or more to affect a tractor that size. Any way to find out how deep it was?

That and November isn't far off. I guess they're busy facilitating election interference, spreading misinformation and canceling the truth.

The guy selling it told me they bought it from a dealership who wrote it off as a total loss, due to flooding. The original dealership can't sell it direct to the public, so this guy is selling it without warranty. He said the 57 hours were mostly likely because it was loaned out as a demo.

Too many people involved to get a straight answer at that point IMO.

I did some more shopping today. Found a 2017 1,000 hour Kubota M5-111 at a local dealer for $59,xxx. It looked like it was used hard and put away wet.

There was also a 2005 New Holland TS115A with 2,000 hours on it that looked in better condition than the Kubota. Pre-emissions, but it's also a 20 year old tractor for $47,xxx.

Sure are slim pickings out here in CO.

Have you checked neighboring states? I rarely buy anything from here, normally vehicles, tractors, etc. are bought from a state or four away.

I've been looking all over the US on tractor house and CL. That flooded M5 was in VA.

Somewhat morbid perhaps, but how about widows nearby, or people that are selling their house with some land? Chances are they have tractor left over. If it's not what you need/want, it could still serve as a trade-in if the price is right.

If I had to buy one now I'd probably start with looking at what the closest dealers have, then Craigslist and other local ads.
