Well, it was an interesting discussion anyway! The tax sale happened today, about 30-35 people in attendance. All but one of the 10 or so properties originally listed, and also listed as of last Thursday, ALL had their taxes paid up to date by the time of the sale, so thery were (all but one) caught up and the properties eneded up NOT being for sale. The one that did go was a smallish lot in a rural community (200 X 83 feet) and it sold for $2600. For several of them, they brought their account up-to-date this morning (ie, the very morning of the sale). Interesting process, and I'll certainly go again to another one to see what happens. One guy there said he has been at sales when only 3 or 4 people showed up. Of course, the day I go, there are 35 people there and 1 property!
