What determines hydraulic power?

I am trying to find out if hydraulic power differs drastically with engine rpm on same size horsepower tractors. Is there maybe a "rule of thumb" that someone can share? What's everybody thinking on this?

With a PD pump when you increase the rpm the flow rate goes up. Means that you will be able to do more work with the end device.:thumbsup:

The only rule of thumb is to put a pressure gauge in your hydraulic system, then max out you fel or other attachment look your machines output in psi @ different RPM
