I can't believe you are 20 degrees colder than me, and it's also colder south of my area.
Was 5 this morning.

Yesterday, it was -17 in Selinsgrove, which is 40 miles south, but only -3 here.

It isn't just latitude. Clouds, wind and topography can make a big difference. There is also the heat island effect if you are in or near a city.

No City here for 30 or so miles. Just seems like we are in a valley during this freeze.
Yesterday was windy, I'm sure the temp with wind was -.

and I heard John Kerry this morning being interviewed on Bloomberg use the terms interchangeably as he was criticizing Trump for exiting the Paris Accords. Tomato Tomahto lol
