I bought a battery power supply. I will bring it to my hotel room and recharge it at night. Hopefully it will last a full day with my laptop and 32" tv.

A while back I bought a Jackery 300w power station with 100w solar panel on an Amazon deal. Been using it up north and have been pretty impressed.

Did a test to see if it would run the diesel heater I bought recently. Was surprised At the results. I ran it for an hour on low and it was still at 90% charge. Heater ran between 9 and 12 watts.

So I just ordered one another one with a bit more power because it was on sale..
Amazon.com

Anker SOLIX C800 Portable Power Station

So I’ll use one for the heater and the other one for phones or whatever. Next time I head up I’ll install the heater. Was a bit chilly a few weeks back.

My Inverter generator is nice and pretty quiet, but the constant wind up when a 1500w electric heater kicks on makes it hard to sleep.

I bought a battery power supply. I didn't really need it, but next week I have a vendor booth at a trade show in Baton Rouge at the Hilton.

When I do trade shows, I bring my laptop and a TV to show videos of my work.

Well....the Hilton wants $110 per day to provide a power strip to run my tv and laptop. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying that much per day. I run my whole house for about $130 for a whole month!

So, I ran to Home Depot and picked this up. I will bring it to my hotel room and recharge it at night. Hopefully it will last a full day with my laptop and 32" tv.

I will definitely keep this in mind, as we do annual trade shows and have always paid for electricity. This year it was $188 for 500w for the 1-day setup and 2-day show.

I bought a 55" tv, brand name, reliable mfgr. great price. After screwing with it for 3 days it went back to the store for a full refund. Clerk asked me why return it.......I said because it kept referring to a this and that (directions on how to operate it) on your smart phone......I have a flip phone and I am not about to buy and attempt to learn how to operate a smart phone just so that I can figure out how to operate their TV.
Bad enough you need to go on-line to get operating instructions for a TV, but while we were on evacuation from wildfire in 2023, I bought an I-pad for my wife to use with wi-fi in the campsite were were staying at. Couldn't find the instruction booklet to get instructions on joining wi-fi. I-pad said they could be found on-line.

My wife’s car, a 2019 300c came with an owners manual but a very short one, the rest is on the touch screen. I put a new door opener in the garage and my wife had to help me get the door opener in the car set to the new opener. She had to read the directions on the touch screen while I ran around hitting buttons in the car and on the opener.

Shortly after I bought my 24 Colorado I realized I didn’t get a car manual. I stopped by the dealer to let them know. They said it’s online and to download the app. I did, and then I handed him my phone and said “I am up in the white mountains frequently. Show me how I use the app with no cell service”

He ordered me a paper copy for free .

Bought this husky hd brand 4 drawer tool cart. Only after finally getting frustrated enough picking certain tools out of my tool chest and moving the tools I think I need by hand and pockets from one end of my 60' wide barn to the other side to work on power equipment, old lawn tractors old kubota, tractors, ATVs, and currently old snowmobiles for the upcoming winter. Hoping for lots of snow 🤞. Four drawers so I think I'll put all my 1/4- 1/2" sockets, wrenches, both sae and metric, screw drivers, a pair of channel locks, vice grips, small pipe wrench and pliers organized accordingly in the 4 drawers permanently. Brake cleaner, carb cleaner, and penetrating oil in the rolling tool carts integrated can holder. Keeping more specialized not used as often tools in my current tool chest. Taking delivery Monday cost me less than 200 bucks with discounts. Problaby could have waited to see what black Friday deals would bring but as they say time is money wasted for me manually walking over 60' and back for a 10 mm socket finally got the best of me. Lol.

About 10 years ago, I moved into my new tin shed and I swore I would NOT buy a second set of tools. I will simply walk the 65 feet to the heated garage where all my tools are to get what I need.

Guess what.
One by one I have bought duplicates of quite a few of the tools in the garage. In another 10 years I might have a full set out there.

Bought a cheap refurbished windows 11 computer for the garage. The old one really struggles with doing web browsing. It’s running windows vista yet.
