I think it’s cool, fun to own. I run tools, trucks, tractors for a living.

Do you know how many guys here own $30,000 or more tractors as a toy/hobby?
I mean we are talking about a $200 power tool here.

I'm not opposed to it and see the novelty. I just didn't know if there was some use case I was missing. Like a gas powered masonry saw.

And they're not "toys", they're tools! :)

A novelty would be understated. I will use it at some point, and have used the hammer drill already.

Yep, they are legit hard working tools. They were built for working in places where there was no electricity.

I may use the gas sawzall for some fence work I have coming up.

Here’s both. The drill needs to be idled or run a while before it’ll run at full power. Then it runs great. Soon as you let off the trigger, it stalls. Needs carb adjusted.

Bought an oddball heavy 84" scraper blade while perusing FBM for a box blade. Then current "need" is for fixing up an area about 50' x 70'. Too much dirt here and not enough there. Went through the old "rent a tiller - buy and sell the tiller when done - hire someone - buy and sell a box blade (did that about 12 years ago and it worked out) - etc".

Although it wasn't what I was shopping for, it looks like this blade will be a keeper. It's marked "Pequea" and has scarifiers that are adjustable for cut depth and flip up when not in use. The blade has a huge bolt and pin that holds it level (left to right) so it can pivot quite a bit to scoop out ditches. I'm sure this is something that was made quite a while ago. No success so far with Google to find any information on it.

The widest blade I had for the Kubota was 6' and I wanted something a little wider for light snowfalls. As the seller noted, the PO must have had an issue with the pin and welded it so it won't rotate. He had it listed for $350 and we settled on $270. I love a challenege. The death wheel came out while the blade was still on my trailer.

What does one need a gas-powered sawzall for exactly? I find my battery powered one to be powerful/violent enough!
I bought one of those, and the matching drill, from Damark (remember them?), for about $100 each. This was before battery powered tools were prevalent, so they were the 'cordless' tools of the day.

They haven't seen much usage, none lately. But I did have fun with the drill a few years ago. Several of us were out putting up signs. When their battery drills ran down, I pulled out my gasser and finished the job.

Anticipating using my tractor's FEL bucket for moving snow around this winter, I ordered some R2Manufacturing EdgeTamers (and the hitch mount accessory). They would arrive today (Tuesday), except UPS only delivers in my area on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays...

Anticipating the possibility of eventually acquiring a trailer that requires a 2-5/16" ball as well as my existing fleet of trailers that are a mix of 1-7/8" and 2", I ordered a 4-in-1 ball mount (the three ball sizes plus a hook) for use with my tractor's trailer-mover -- so I don't have to keep a fleet of individual ball mounts for the tractor like I have for my truck (and since the drop or rise is not important when you can raise or lower the whole hitch!). It too would arrive today (Tuesday), except UPS only delivers in my area on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays...

New bar and chain for my Echo 620P.
I cleaned up and hung all the bars and chains for the various saws and realized I had no backup bar.
With all the Ash that keep falling, having a backup needs to be part of the plan.
I can buck up a pretty big tree in a few hours with the bigger saw vs. my little c490.
