all I'm doing today is clean up. man some of that stuff in the field I bush hogged yesterday was over head high. Had to clean the screen 3 times yesterday and STILL got some in the radiator, so time to get out the hose and run it backwards through there and wash that junk out of there. Also had a tremendous amount of some kind of weeds with a cluster of red berries on the top of the stalk, had that red junk all over my pretty blue tractor, that had to GO ;)
Be glad when the 1st get here ($$$). This is 1 of those months more days than dollarsm the joy of government benefits

hey a few questions for you since we have the same tractor. I'm just over 35 hours, so I need to start looking for filters. Mine has the S3L2 engine, I'd guess yours does as well. do you have the parts numbers for the filters? I've scrolled through about the first 20 pages or so of the thread, but not found ours yet. Also, I noticed on the lot the day I bought mine, all the other shuttle shift tractors had an actual pedal on the foot throttle, but mine doesn't. The guy there said this model doesn't come with it, does yours have it? or was he just shooting me a line

That sounds like a hydrostatic. Mine has the clutch on the left side brakes on right . On my dash is the fwd /neutral/ reverse leaver.

thanks for the numbers. Mines not hydro drive, yes, clutch on left, brakes on right but there's also a foot controlled throttle. For just piddling around in the yard, I leave mine at idle and use the 'accelerator' pedal, which is just a bent rod sticking up through the floor. The other models around their yard had a plastic pedal on them, he said this model didn't come with one. but that bent rod for a pedal will get your foot after a while.....

Which dealer Gainesville or Canton? BS flag I use my foot throttle all the time unless I am bush hogging then use the hand to bring up the rpms. Since you are cutting for other people get a whole bunch of shear bolts from TSC. or do like I did and change the pto to a slip clutch. I got mine from a place in Statesboro. Check the fluild level in the bush hog gear box

no my dealer is in Rome, so yours DOES have the plastic pedal on it? Yeah, I'll call him on it for sure. Funny you mention the bolts, I hit a big limb buried in the tall grass yesterday and broke the bolt, no extras. Luckily, the guy only lived a few miles from our TSC, so I raised the ramps on the trailer and ran over there. went ahead and bought a pound of nuts and bolts so I'll have extra. He actually even told me to include that time in my cutting time, because it was his limb. I told him no, because it might have been his limb, but it was on me for not having extra bolts with me, I just didn't feel right about charging him for the 30 minutes I wasn't cutting while I was chasing down bolts.... ;)

I think it was here somebody said even getting a loader bucket full of dirt isn't as easy as it looks. True. Took me a few tries. But the ground is hard and dry, so I really need to break some more loose with either the BH or tiller.

Can't say as I like the downhill bit. In Low and 2WD, it wants to run away and even with brake, it slides, tearing the turf. Had that with the LTs with chains. Was hoping this would hold better. In Low and 4WD it's OK and I have control. I'll get used to it I guess. Need to trim trees though ... or drop the roll bar when mowing certain areas.

Slow too. And bumpy. I feel every divet in the ground.

More things to get used to.

Dug holes for 6 more apple trees and a couple of pear trees. Had to fill them in by hand as I don't trust my loader skills yet to not cut the new young trees.

I made the comment before that 'scooping something' wasn't as easy as it looks like it would be. at least not for me anyway, LOL but just something else to practice doing :)
