Over the weekend I had a job resurfacing a gravel driveway. I was able to use the blade shoes that I made. They worked out great. Kept the blade from digging in and chopped the hills off.

I committed the cardinal sin. I removed all my snowfighting gear. Took off the blower, the pusher and the chains. And for good measure took the plow and chains off the Mule.

SO if there is a freak snowstorm in the north east this month, you can thank me.


Besides that, I put the Piranha bar on the bucket and went out to clean up some digging i Had done with the excavator. I had one of these on my BX and forgot how it transforms the bucket into a digging machine.

So instead of spending 15 minutes cleaning up one spot, I spent 4 hours looking for excuses to move some dirt, LOL.

Yesterday finished installing a tool box on the tractor where the starboard step would have been. Welded up a bracket and used provided holes to bolt it on the tractor then mounted the box on the bracket.

Also notice a part of the plastic outer fender is gone, happened the second day I had the tractor by backing over a honey locust limb full of thorns, the thorns stuck in the tire and the limb drew up and broke the piece off. Late yesterday afternoon actually started mowing and brush clearing again!

well, took off the winter gear from 2555 (chains on all tires, edge tamers). used back blade to move gravel back onto the road from where the snow piles were.

With some rain coming in, I decided to move some snow from an area I'll be felling some ash, hopefully mother nature gets rid of the rest so I can start cutting.

I also shaved some ice off the driveway where the water runs, after this rain we should be down to the crushed stone.

Before I did the above chit, I got the 36 inch bar cleaned up better so it's ready for some milling.

The first two pictures are from the area I'll start cutting this week and the last two was a turkey we think a fox killed this morning which I moved deeper in the woods with the tractor.

I didn't quite go THAT far but I took all of my chains off 2 weeks ago but waited to take the plow off until this past weekend since I needed to use my forks. I still have the blower on the back though, trying to prevent Murphy from giving us an April or May dumping of snow....

I gave my 4540 a bath. The spring pollin season is about over here so it was time. I thought I had a Catapiller and when I got finished washing it I had a Mahindra!
