What did you do to your tractor today?

Well...........
I took the rear mudwings off the Ford 1200 and steamed the tractor off.

Removed all the paint from mudwings with a blowtorch and wire brush ready for de-rusting and painting.

weather is a bit cold ( 4c ) for painting so maybe get some base coat on and see how it goes.

This you might know, I built a 5 Bar Wooden Estate Gate in the Hook style. I need to get the pics up as they are still in the camera. I completed it a few weeks ago.

I thought mudwing was an americanism, we call them mudgaurds as they gaurd the driver from the mud

I pulled the tie rod ends off of the 961 to get the local tractor shop to match them up with some new ones. They are discontinued and i can't find anyone that makes them.

It Snowed today !!! bugger, didn't get much done outside but managed to paint the 1200 wheels and make sure the wood burner burned in the garage.

Its 9pm over here so going to get on the outside of a few drinks

I'm getting ready to sell my 1983 Kubota B6200. A couple of days ago, I changed the oil and oil filter, blew out the air cleaner, and changed the anti-freeze.

Then I looked at the faded paint on the fenders and a little surface rust on the fender near the battery. So yesterday I took all the orange sheet metal off.

I'm going to be gone for a week, but when I get back, I'll sand the sheet metal and paint it for the next owner.

Paid the dealer to remount the remotes that he originally mounted

Started cleaning the rust off the front loader ready for painting.

Welded the old seat base on to the replacement seat.

Didn't quite decide today on which colour paint to use.

Here and Oxford speak a different language, and ten miles north from here the old folk are difficult for me to undersatand, Thas reet se thee, thas frum tother end ot cuntri tha nose, wos thun Scotlund tis darn thea.

Mixed a bit of paint today to try on the loader, looks like a good match in the photo but its a little dark.
Hey...its only a tractor so dark it'll be I think unless we can track down the proper colour before christmas.

I backfilled drain tile with crushed rock with it today. Adjust the snowblower skidshoes as it started to snow.

Yesterday unloaded a free new to me 1000 l diesel bulk tank with 50$ of diesel left in it and about 20 gallons of water too.
