I've figured out what just about all the controls on my F18D do except two... Per the attached picture, these controls are over the right rear fender; the large knob/lever to the right controls the up/down and tilt (side-to-side) of the 3-point hitch, but I cannot figure out what the two smaller knobs do -- if anything. I'm assuming they are for a tiller or some other attachment with sensors/control, but simply don't know (not being able to read Japanese). Does anyone know what the two smaller knobs on the left do and/or whether they are of any use to me using simple 3-point attachments like my box scraper and/or a brush hog?

Also, my guess would be that Manual or Auto refers to Cylinder Speed since there is no description next to this knob and that all are in vertical alignment.

Ummm, okay. What Cylinder? It seems like these are some electronic control for an attachment I don't have...

It would be your 3point lift cylinder(s). Depending on the weight of the implement back there, you don't want it slamming into the ground. You can select the valve flow rate to compensate with the bottom left knob. The upper left, I think would let the tractor decide how fast to let the implement on the 3ph lower.

Not exactly. The UFO is kind of an automated top-n-tilt that automatically controls tiller depth through pitch, as well as left to right angle, and other things that nobody here seems to know about. :D

It seems like this version may have only one of those functions. There is a linkage required on the tiller for at least some of the features.

Do you have an electrical connector in the back then for connecting to implements? Could also be an auto draft control so that if a tiller starts digging in too much the tractor would raise the 3ph (basically just a load matching...engine load to high = move 3ph up...engine load to low...let 3ph dig in). Are the top and tilt hydraulic cyclinders on the tractor or the implement? Is there another spot on the tractor to control the flow rate for lowering the 3 point hitch? Pretty much every tractor is going to have something to control how fast the 3ph falls and some have draft control. If you don't have another control for setting the flow rate, I would say these are draft control and 3ph descending rate controls. Beyond that my educated guess would turn into a SWAG.

Yeah, there's a connector out back (curently disconnected from anything), so I'm guessing it is indeed some sort of draft control or electronic control for an attachment I don't have (and probably don't plan to use). Thanks.

Here is a direct quote from the operating manual I have. "The UFO control is designed to be used with a special tiller. These tillers are equipped with a series of electronic sensors that allow them to automatically level themselves." Does not say what the knobs do but it would seem unless you have this "special tiller" it is useless. it goes on to say "unless you are using the self leveling functions you are better off to eliminate the computer controlled section should the electronic controls fail" that probably does not give a real warm and fuzzy about it.

They serve no function without the tiller.

Don't touch them I think that's the activator for the ejector seat😜.

yes i know it.i can use leveling manually. but if i have working ufo system, it would be great to use it, or just to know those remote control operations. may be automatic level system will be useful for me. but the main problem is that i dont understand in japaneese...everything seems working, but there is three controllers and dont know which controller is made for...sorry for my english

yes there is some electronic in there20141214_113726.jpg
they are under the seat.and 2 of them connects with tractors back, and one goes to ufo control.and there is leveling system (i think that it is) one that you can see in photo, and one is lover at tractor back.
from the photo PhilY uploaded i see that my smaller knob is for switching from auto and manual(same japan letters).bigger knob is for up and down, in my controller this knob goes sideways, but the same result.the roller is for leveling. ok if im thinking right, now i know functions of knobs ant roller.but on auto and manual mode bigger knob and roller seems to do different job.
is it possible that on auto mode i just have to use roller, and on manual i have to use only bigger knob??? or on both modes roller and knob have functions???
hope you can understand my english :)

of topic question. does my yanmar ke-4 (i think that is ke-4 becouse of sticker on side) have other name? eg. like YM240 or YM2000? or my tractors name is ke-4 :)

Your English is ok.

I think you need to have a Yanmar 3-point implement (rototiller, etcetera) behind the tractor that sends special signals to those controls.

yes i heave 3-point implement (rototiller).

and it works great.but its hard to understand ufo controller. if i know how to work on manual i would work with manual.but how i said its difficult to understand ufo...its my first tractor and im not a farmer, so its all new to me :) this tractor is just for pulling small trailer in field.and 2times a year ill use rototiller...but i have quite a bit of field and ground is not straight, so i think automatic leveling would be useful with rototiller...
