I personally try not to......... I've missed most of my summer due to this and that. A new puppy to take care of - bursitis acting up in my shoulders - wildfire smoke, ash & crud. Finally, after three weeks my shoulder feels pretty good - so, what the heck - give it a shot. I rode north to a town about 40 miles south of the Canadian border - Kettle Falls. The mountains had a hazy blue cast to them and the air smelled, once again, slightly of the smoke of burning fires. It was a great day - its still summer - nothing would indicate fall is coming. I shall continue to ride until my butt falls off - just to make up for my shortened summer.
