I wouldn't worry about the Pliobond damaging it, i use it on fly lines to fix/repair nicks or cuts in them, hasn't damaged one yet.

Not specific to pliobond but, in general with solvents, it seems that when theres any sensitivity at all a bond that presents a bottleneck that slows drying drastically will compromise the plastic. Surface and porous repairs are great.

I have used silicone rtv to do things like this.Works great and if you need to take it back off no problem
